William took Laura, Sarah, Hannah and me to the Olustee reenactment the Saturday before last Saturday.
I have had a dress I made for reenactments and I wanted to change the neckline, but I was slightly nervous about. But I got up my nerve and did it. I also took the cuffs off the sleeves and made under sleeves and a chemisette for it, using this pattern
I actually didn’t get any pictures of me at the reenactment because I had the camera most of the time :) or Laura for that matter, and William was with the soldiers most of the time so we didn’t see him much.
I bought a pattern :)
There was a parade at the beginning of the day and William was in it and us girls helped a group of Christians there pass out tracts to all the people. We had a lot of fun and hopefully we can go again someday :) i also finished these mittens I was working on
The teacup came from the reenactment. I am not using it to drink out of because our house is famous for not having breakable dishes last long :( so I decorate
Here’s the link to the pattern for the mittens
Also, coming next is a tutorial on how to make these adorable dresses. Actually they were meant at first to be nightgowns, but that changed. They can be used for either. The first three I made for Felicity Rebecca and Faith are made out of sheets. The fourth I made for Hannah was just some of my fabric that I had :)
