Raggedy Anne doll clothes, dress

It’s been a while since I last posted. Sorry about that. I hope y’all don’t have dolls with only bloomers on laying around. But if you do, get it back out and make a dress for it.


That is how the dress is to be cut out. You’ll need two of them.

The two long sides are the skirt front side and back side. The short wide part is the sleeve.

Hem the sleeve edge and inner dress edge as shown. To hem, turn 1/4 inch and then again. Press and stitch.

There should be marking on the pattern piece where to fold. Fold and stitch 1/4 inch from edge on all skirt sides.

Lay the pieces together and sew the front seam and then the back seam except leave the top open about two inches.

Fold with the sleeve edges together and sew 1/4 inch from edge.

Put on doll and hand sew a few stitches through the back top to hold it together.

Using embroidery floss sew a running stitch around the sleeve about an inch from the edge, same as for bloomers. That’s all there is too the dress. I hope to post for the apron soon because that’s my favorite part. Anyways, if you didn’t understand something, just comment :) enjoy!
